Time for the next round up of my favorite vineyards. This month I checked out several new places on Long Island's North Fork with my family (kids included). We had so much fun exploring and trying new wines! Usually at vineyards, I love doing a tasting and then getting a glass of my favorite one. This way I can try new wines but still relax and take in the views.
Tap room at Corey Creek
This one was definitely my favorite this month. Corey Creek is actual owned by Bedell Cellars, another popular vineyard on Long Island. The actual space indoors is not very big but there is ample seating outside. They have a good assortment of red and white but my favorite wine was the Albertino. Highly recommend! I really liked that it wasn't overly crowded like several other places.Sometimes they do have food trucks but they always offer snacks like dried fruit, popcorn, or chocolate.
Konotokosta Winery
This vineyard was the farthest out on Long Island and definitely one of the most beautiful. It sits right along the ocean on a cliff offering amazing views of the beach. They also have a big open field so people could just hang out and enjoy. The indoor space is also very nice and modern with several tables. There was a lot of great wine options that were definitely hard to choose from but of course I had to go with the Riesling! A very strange rule here is that you can't drink any bottles on the property, you could only buy bottles to take home. They also don't allow any buses or limos.
Pugliese Vineyard
This vineyard wasn’t on my list before but I am so glad we stopped here! It's definitely different than the rest but the atmosphere is very lively. They offer live music. They also have plenty of seating under big tents or on open picnic tables around a beautiful pond with different fish and turtles. The wine here is definitely unique. They offer a great variety of sparkling wines including the best Sparkling Merlot. The tastings are in little plastic cups and given by tickets so it isn't like your typical wine tasting.
