Before:
To start off with, I always pack in advance (by in advance, I mean the night before). As a carry-on I have been using my MZ Wallace backpack, which has a ton of pockets. I make sure that I have my passport and all of the essentials like my charger. I also try to check in and figure out what to wear for the flight the day before just to avoid some unnecessary stress later on. I always choose something comfortable to wear like leggings, sneakers, and a sweatshirt (It's always FREEZING on planes). Before going to the airport, I make sure to pack a few stacks and eat beforehand if I can so I don't get hangry later on. It doesn’t take too much time getting ready since I usually don’t apply a single drop of makeup. Let's be real, no one really cares how anyone looks in airports. After I go through security and find my gate, I always go buy a water bottle. Most flights give you drinks but you never know how long that will take. You should also be drinking a lot more water when flying so your skin doesn't hate you.
During:
I always make sure I get a window seat so that I can see city from a great angle. Take-off and landing are my favorite! Once I get settled into my seat, I take out my Beats headphones to either listen to music or watch a movie/show. Whenever, I get a little hungry I can just take out my snack and enjoy. In the case that I did have makeup on perhaps flying after an event, I take it right off with some Neutrogena Wipes once I get settled into my seat. In this environment, makeup will just break you out! This also helps get rid of any dirt and just refresh your face. To keep my face hydrated in flight, I like to apply some moisturizer, eye cream, and lip balm. If my face feels extra try and dull, I even apply a light mask while I lay back and relax. It makes my face feel and look a lot better when I land. I also like to apply a hand cream so that my hands feel nice and smooth (make sure it’s a light scent so you don’t bother anyone around you). Remember that all products have to be small and in a clear bag to get through security.
After:
After I land and figure out where I’m going, the most important thing I like to do is shower or sanitize my hands at least. I try to always travel with sanitizer to avoid getting sick and kill any bad bacteria. It's also gross to think about how you've been so close to strangers basically in each other's personal space. I usually love the Bath & Body Works little ones that you can just clip on somewhere.
